By now you guys should be very familiar with little McKenzie (aka Ms. Run D.M.C.). We were excited to shoot her second birthday party last weekend at the AquaTots Aquatic Center in Kennesaw, GA. McKenzie was surrounded by family and friends that day and seemed to enjoy her Elmo cake more than anything else. Unfortunately we had a cake bandit join us at the birthday party. Hey blog stalkers.. If you haven’t noticed already we’re still in the middle of our busy summer season. The weather is finally starting to cool down a bit which definitely works for us. This family asked us to capture some photos of their family now that their little one has reached the 6 months stage. We spent a few hours walking through Smyrna Village and Park.

We really need to shoot more boys. For whatever reason we end up getting more female clients than male. We definitely didn’t design it that way – boys need love too. Anyway, we’ve been waiting to sync up with this family for a while. They met us at the Sweet Auburn Fest and wanted to do their very first shoot as a family. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we couldn’t have asked for better lighting conditions. Good lighting + great family … what more could we ask for?
We thought we’d try out our new Radio Flyer tricycle. Caiden had another idea in mind.. he decided the tricycle strings were much more interesting!
Apparently little Caiden LOVES when his mommy sings “head, shoulders, knees and toes”.. ha! We love it.

Cutie pie alert! Okay, so we call this baby our little doll baby because she is just a doll. I actually spotted this baby from her mom’s Facebook profile pic.. yep, I did.. lol. I swear I’m not a baby stalker, but I am always on the lookout for cutie pies to try new concepts. Luckily mom and dad agreed to allow us to capture their little beauty. Elyse will be turning 1 in a couple of weeks so we decided to capture her before her big day. Luckily for us she had just taken her first steps a few days earlier! Happy Birthday Elyse! We can’t wait to watch you grow.

We had the pleasure of photographing an event for local Sisterlocs Consultant, Natalie Tulloch. This event showcased some of the most awesome sisterloc styles I’ve ever seen. These women came in all sizes, shapes, and shades and were all absolutely beautiful. We had to show a few of the lovely laides on our blog.
Okay, this lady said that she didn’t really like to take pictures but came away w/one of the most stunning photos of the day! Just awesome..

Three posts in one week.. we’re on a roll! We’ve known Andersen before she even knew herself. We’ve also probably captured more of her life than we’ve captured of anyone else! Now Miss Andersen is 9 months old and is taking charge. It’s so interesting to watch babies grow and develop. We hope to be able to showcase more of this cutie pie in the months and years to come!

We had the pleasure of doing an engagement session for Marianne and Angel. Marianne wanted a vintage look and of course we jumped for joy. We love almost anything vintage. There were so many things to shoot at this location that we ended up with a ton of great pics. It was hard to choose a few for the blog, but you can watch the video for more. We are looking forward to working with this couple again in a few weeks during their wedding ceremony. Congrats Marianne and Angel!

These friends were inspired by our recent session w/Johanna and friends. They’re all 25 and getting ready to start new careers. What a fabulous way to commemorate this time in their lives. Carlie is heading off to China to begin her career, so they wanted to do something special before she leaves. We headed down to the Castleberry Hill area to spend some time with the girls. We wish all of you the best in your new lives and careers!
